A True African Queen...

I had the most amazing night tonight. My sister Christie heard about this woman's amazing story a few months ago and contacted her. She invited her to come and speak to the sisters in her stake for a Ladies Night Out. What an amazing story she has on her life in Sierra Leone and her journey to discover what God had in store for her. Her story strengthened my own testimony and made me count my many blessings and refocus on what my priorities ought to be. If you are in my stake, we will be having Mariama come in January to our Women's Conference so I do not want to tell her whole story. You will take with you so much more if you hear it from her in her own words. I am forever changed because of her. Thank you Mariama.

My Teaparty!

I got this idea from my cousin Ashley Longman and the best Young Women's Pres. ever, Sis. Jones! It looked WAY fun so I thought I'd give it a shot! Here it goes, If I could invite anybody in the world to a teaparty I would pick....

1. Teen-age Mike O'Donnell

because he knows how to be nice to girls and he might be able to teach some of the boys at my school some lessons!

2. Percy Jackson

From the book The Lightning Thief. He is like one of my all time FAVORITE book characters! If he came to my tea party, maybe I could use my girlish charm and convince him to take me to Mt. Olympus!! That would be SWEET! P.S. movie comes out Presidents Day!!! :)

3. David Archuleta

It's always been one of my dreams to have a personal concert from that incredible boy who should have won American Idol. :)

4. Chad Dylan Cooper

Dorky? I know. But I'll always be a Disney girl! I would pick Chad Dylan Cooper because whenever I watch him on Disney Channel, I crack up at like everything he says! I know I'd have a blast with him if he came to my teaparty.

5. Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen

Oh my Goodness! Have you guys seen this movie! It's fantastic! I would have princess Tiana teach me how to work as hard as she does and I would have Prince Naveen tell me jokes all day! He was Hilarious!
